The German Evangelical
Lutheran Church and its Liepaja (historical name Libau)
congregation was builders of the Holy Trinity Church and run it until World War
II.
After World War II the
Latvian congregation was founded, which, despite the difficulties and
repressions, still existed during the Soviet occupation.
Also today two congregations have found their home in Liepāja
Holy Trinity Cathedral- the Liepāja Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran
congregation and the German congregation in Liepāja, of German Evangelical
Lutheran Church in Latvia.
